From memory, the original oil filter is plain white with a small decal. Nothing close to the Motorcraft filter in looks. As far as I know it has never been back to the dealer or had the oil changed (i could be wrong but i doubt it will how much dust was on the car). After the ceramic coating is done the first voyage will be to the dealership for a new belt and oil change. I ordered some new michelins for it as well. I do think that i am going to take a test sample and send the oil off to get analyzed. Would be interesting to see what it says.
Ill be picking it up Saturday so ill have a look then. Do you know who made the oe filter ?From memory, the original oil filter is plain white with a small decal. Nothing close to the Motorcraft filter in looks.

This is correct.Congrats with your rare find Shelby! Here are a couple of photos of my Factory OEM Oil Filter with the part number on the bottom.…
Looks great @44shelby Beautiful clean Shelby GT500....... Enjoy it!!!!its as clean as it will ever be at this exact moment. I will say for a car with such low miles on it it sure did have its fair share of marks that had to come out.
Man I love that color comboits as clean as it will ever be at this exact moment. I will say for a car with such low miles on it it sure did have its fair share of marks that had to come out.
No Sir it is not! Thats why your car is one of my favorite hear on SVTP and always looking forward to your pics........
Truth be told it wasnt my first choice lol. white with blue was number 1 and then silver with red was number 2. I couldnt find either with the mileage i wanted or the condition. It has grown on me but it sure is different to see in the garage.Man I love that color combo
Yea I know the feeling. Never thought this would fall into my hands either. But it did......hey @44shelby everything happens for a reason.Truth be told it wasnt my first choice lol. white with blue was number 1 and then silver with red was number 2. I'd say your best bet for a tire with decent traction is a 335/30R20 cup2R tire.Yea I know the feeling. Never thought this would fall into my hands either. But it did......hey @44shelby everything happens for a reason.

The other day I was thinking it would be awefully nice to have a tire option. But with the widebody and 20x13" rear rims, there's not much for options. Well at least 1 that I know that Michelin offers 345 30ZR 20. But after thinking about this, widebody setup has 30" (tire section width 15" per tire) of rubber on the pavement at all times. Its kinda crazy when you think about it for a street car. But with that said.......it needs it trust me.........lol
I would look into having a custom set of forgelines. Just for messing around purposes. I don't know if you drop down in diameter an inch or 2 if it would open up a better tire selection. Might be worth looking intoYea I know the feeling. Never thought this would fall into my hands either. But it did......hey @44shelby everything happens for a reason.

If I ever go that route (Which is a great idea BTW) I'd go with a weld S77 all aluminum 17x11 w/ Mickey thompson ET Street R 305X45R17 or Nitto 305X45R17 NT555RII on the rear and leave the front with the existing tire size. Before I do that I would need to do the shelby SS Anti hop upgrade so I dont break the rear end (They also weld the axle tubes). Im also lookin into going with these all Carbon Ceramics brakes from Wilwood. Im thinking between the three upgrades I'll also knock off some desireable weight in the tune of 175 pounds from the car and get me into that 3800lb range. Dont know if it will be possible but 3700lbs is my goalI would look into having a custom set of forgelines. Just for messing around purposes. Sorry Mr. @LS WUT Forgot to mention to you when the day comes you guys here on SVTP are gonna bury me in this.......lolI’ll trade you! Whatever one of my cars you want, maybe 2!
LMAO..... But man that is so cool! Glad to hear this guy can give a care about miles and just enjoy this car.Fun story about the supersnake
I was working Service at a ford store, and i was 'the Mustang Guy'
Phone rings, senior advisor answers, and immediately shoots it to me. 'Guys got some snake something'
I answer, go 'what is this about....'
Guy on the phone has a super snake that he needs an oil change on. Easy. Schedule him the next day. When he pulls in, half the sales floor comes running over to take photos with the guy. I have no idea who he is. Younger guy, taller, built like a ball player.
Write him up, Tyler Flowers. I hardly watch sports so I google him. He is the ****ing Braves starting catcher (at this time). Holy shit.
Go out and talk to him about the car, its got almost 80,000 miles on his 13/14 SS. Said he races the teams from game to game, they'll fly, he'll drive.
WHAT.
Got his oil change done and he picked it up the next day.
