Porting throttle body

I came across a fellow on Craigslist that ports superchargers, throttle bodys, and plennums.

He says he could port my throttle body for 35 bucks and port the plennum for $65.

Is it worth it to do this? Would there be any horsepower gains at all or is it not worth it? If I took off the throttle body and plennum myself could i reuse the old gaskets or do i have to buy new ones?

There's nothing that can be done to a throttle body that will increase power.

You can get a bigger throttle body and port the upper intake to match. That might get you some gains. But I don't see how porting the TB will help, being that you are constrained by the butterfly size.

You need to make ALOT of power before the stock throttle body isn't big enough.

Ok so I take it porting the tb and plenum isnt worth the trouble. I will look at a different mod then.

Take that money and buy a 3/8 or bigger intake spacer that goes between your upper and lower intake. Money much better spent.
