The Suffolk County Highway Patrol has a fully marked Terminator patrol car....but this is no D.A.R.E. car or public relations drag car, nope it is full blown pursuit vehicle.

Cops: 7 motorcyclists charged with reckless driving on LIE

The bikers Monday may have been unaware they were being followed. Even though the officer's supercharged Mustang was marked, he said, it had a low-profile rack of lights.

When traffic had slowed and it was safe to pull the bikers over, a highway patrol officer at Exit 63 moved in front of the motorcyclists, police said.
The two officers escorted the riders without incident to the shoulder by North Ocean Avenue, police said.

Hodge said he thinks one reason they pulled over was because of the supercharged Mustang: "Maybe they thought they couldn't get away from it."http://www.newsday.com/long-island/...harged-with-reckless-driving-on-lie-1.6252811

That's awesome. There is a department or two around here that still uses a Fox body coupe. Just saw one Saturday

Very interesting that this car actually went into service. With those other threads, I thought it was just for display or something like the older foxes at car shows.

Hearing that eaton scream with the lights on must be a weird sensation.

That's pretty cool. Was it car #929? I just got finished reading the other thread on page 1. Looks like the same car.

Wonder if they teach the officers that use this car some of the do's and don'ts.

I have a feeling that the car probably gets beat on quite a bit, especially seeing how other police cars accelerate around town.
