With some in-house labor, probably $2-3K or less? How much does a new 8.8 rear end w/ 31-spline axles cost? I know the weight-saving mods are pretty cheap.:-D

Doesnt the Mach 1 come with an 8.8 and 31 spline rear? I think that is the stock rear...just not stock gears that were in it , with that magazine test.

Hot Rod(have to learn more and more now about this car)Harry

"...a different 8.8-inch housing was also bolted up, containing Moser 31-spline axles, an Eaton Posi differential, and 4.30:1gears." - 5.0

Sorry, I should have been more specific.:) I bet that Eaton Posi raises the price of the mod list a bit.

Harry, if Azure Blue is definitely out of the question, I would wait till next year and go for Competition Orange or Screaming Yellow (much nicer shade of Yellow IMO).

I like the red and I like the rear window louver but I never knew what they were for. The only thing I could come up with was to block the sun.

If you can hold off a while get the Competition Orange. Otherwise go Yellow.

Step 1: Buy car
Step 2: throw in some 4.56s, LTs, shifter, ET streets, and a chip.
Step 3: hunt down 03s for some stoplight to stoplight brawls

Yo Harry,

I would get white IMO, but are you getting a 2004 or 2003? I would wait for the 2004 and get either the Comp. Orange or the Yellow.:D
