I finally got all of my tires and rims, and had the tires mounted this morning. The combo is 17x9 up front with Nitto NT555 275, and 17x10.5 out back with Nitto NT555R 315s drag radials.

So, finally here are some before and after pics. Enjoy...

Here's a comparison of my original rear wheels/tires and new rear wheels/tires

There is a slight difference in height... I'll have to recalibrate my SCT X2.

Just my luck that the day I finally get some real grip, the roads and streets are all wet and we are suppose to get snow this weekend! :cryying: :bash:

black wheels aren't my thing but there's no doubting that wider is better!

Hopefully the weather will clear up for your shortly and you can take the car out for a nice cruise on your new wheels.

The ride looks awsome! What type of drop springs, struts/shocks are you using?

Right now I have the stock front suspension, and stock 97 Cobra rear suspension. But, this spring I am going to be shopping around for some lower springs to lower it about 1 to 1.5".

Here's a funny picture
cobraandgeo.jpg

That's my Cobra and my old Geo Metro commuter car (cylinder #3 suffered a severe loss of compression, 20 psi compared to 170 psi for the other 3 cylinders). So, now it just sits there until I decide what to do with it...

But the difference in wheels/tires and exhaust pipes is just a little hilarious!

I really wish they made 17X9.5 or 17X9 of our factory 99-01 wheels. They look so bad ass from the side, but they need more tread. I guess I will go with 17X9 03 wheels. I don't have much choice! And I think anything bigger than 275s are silly, at least for me. Besides, the car should handle better with all 4 corners the same.

Thanks for all of the comments from everyone. I just love the way the car looks now!

By the way Matt, what spring do you have and do you have any more pics of your car?

Looks great! I like the black rims! My Cobra is in sitting in th garage for another 2 months, but my first plan in April is 245's up front on 17 x 8, and 315's in rear, 17 x 10.5, with 1" spacer (since lowered and IRS).
