Nice car, if it wasn't for BMW maintenance costs I would consider one over a S2000 or 350Z.

BTW do these have the same subframe issues as e46 3 series?

It's considered a e36/37 and even though early modes had some issues they overall do not have any real issues with the subframe compared to the 46. Believe it or not maintenance is not bad at all and the M roadster and powertrain is one of the most reliable BMW makes according to owners.
