I know these pictures are horrible but they’re the best I’m going to have for the time being. Anyhow, I picked up my engine build from Holbrook Racing Engines today. Here’s a high level summary of the build-

Bear aftermarket block
Ford 5.2 GT500 crankshaft
Wiseco Boostline rods
Wiseco pistons (apprx 11.1:1)
GT350 heads
Comp turbo cams

Coolant was found in the cylinders of my last engine, so it needed to come apart. I didn’t want to make any compromises this time. It’s going in my 2011 GTCS and fed by a Hellion TT setup with Precision billet wheel BB 64/66s.
whats that red cross brace where the knock sensors sit?
I believe it’s unnecessary, but it’s a block brace that was reused from my prior engine.
Looks like someone will be hurting some feelings soon!
Thanks! It’s just a street car for now, and I’ll be very happy if it’s just back on the road this summer! I have 4.5 year old son that I want to cruise around with :)

should be a badass setup for boost!, I know Holbrook has built so crazy high NA coyote builds
Thanks! The car is at Hutter Performance near where I live. The plan is to have Trevor Hutter (he is the tuner there) do a few tunes… One for the “e85” (I believe closer to e70) sold at a specific station nearby, and also some type of good e85 like C85, Ignite, or Renegade… along with a CO2 setup to complement my AMS 2000 Pro boost controller.

The car has a full 3” exhaust all the way back, but I think I’m going to have them make up some dumps directly out of the hood… I am not sure how rowdy this will be?!

have they got them all sorted now? I remember when they first came out a few years ago there were some issues
As far as I know… I picked an engine builder I trust and went with their recommendation on parts selection for an engine that can support high horsepower. I believe my engine was Holbrook’s 50th Bear build, and I know Shaun at AED is using the blocks (I also hold him in high regard).

Good luck with your build. TT coyotes are no joke.

I recently finished assembling/installing my forged motor (gen 3) last summer. I definitely missed the car so know what youre going through.

Gotta keep the little ones in the sport! Good Job
I agree fully! He’s pretty excited about the car and he’s never even taken a ride in it yet. I’m sure I’ll have to be have to be pretty mello on the go-peddle to keep him happy during the first rides!

Thank you! I saw in one of the other forums you finished your build- congrats! I believe you did most of the work yourself if I’m not mistaken, so much respect! But yeah, my car has been down for about a hear and a half now…

Bad ass build!

I’d probably talk to a couple people about the hood dumps/high fender exit. I’ve seen a few talk about it getting old with the noise and smell when they drive the car a lot

Thank you! I think your advice is probably very wise… I’m concerned about exhaust fumes primarily. I’m sure we’ll want to ride around with the windows down, etc. and I don’t want my son inhaling a bunch of exhaust.

Yep. Did it all myself other than the balancing of the crank for the H Tuff rods. I just don't trust anyone lol. Wish I could get past that TBH.

Mine was down for almost the same ... about a year and a half. Drove me crazy!
