It sucketh mightily. Emissions equipment doesn't have to "work", I think after 25, but it has to be visibly installed on the car, cats, smog pumps, all of it unless they are 35 years old or older. PITAUgh, didn’t know that, 25 here.

Spend some time perfecting the body and chassis
Then in a few years look for a wrecked 2018 mustang with a coyote and the 10 speed auto to swap in
That's the plan. This will be a couple year project. My son is 8 now and I got this for us.Spend some time perfecting the body and chassis

Good old Florida, no vehicle inspections
Is this going to be a car for (one of) your son(s)? Car for you? What's intention? DD? Auto-x? straight line?
If I were building for me:
no matter what it would get painted the Florida Highway Patrol scheme
Streetcar - coyote with snails, street suspension, interior
Straightline - bored/stroked big block, minimal interior, cage, drag suspension
Auto x - coyote, race suspension/brakes, cage, minimal interior
If building for son:
Street - coyote
Strip - 351, drag suspension, cage, etc
Twisties - coyote, race suspension, cage, etc
***Edit*** - what do you guys think about throwing the biggest ecoboost ford makes in there?

I was thinking only if it was going to one of his kids. Would be good on gas, be able to get out of its own way without giving the keys of a 400+hp light car to a kid that just turned 16 but just enough to satisfy the need for speedFRPP used to sell a 3.5 ecoboost boost package with the ecu controls pack etc... though you could find one much cheaper out of salvage F150 etc. I personally wouldn’t put one in a clean LX notch, but it’d be cool, especially if it were a hatch car... throw on some SVO badges, hood etc
Figured. I'm planning for 15-20k over the years in a "No expense spared" type buildOut of the two I’d go coyote. The only thing the termi has on it is it comes boosted. I did an eaton swap in my 98 cobra and it could be a pain at times. You’d almost deff have to find a whole car now since a few pieces aren’t produced anymore.
Keep in mind though if you want all the creature comforts like PS, AC, PB it’ll be about 15K.
MO’s speed shop in GA did an eco boost coupe that’s now sitting in the Summit Racing showroom. Very clean but not my personal cup of tea.
LS, Coyote, 4.6 in that order.
I hate the 4.6 simply due to the size of it lol
