I wiped down the motor after washing my car and noticed a couple of spots on top of the blower. I wiped them with a damp microfiber towel and the paint popped right off. This happen to anyone else? I called the dealer but they don't have a touch up paint for the blower. What kind of paint do you use for it? High temp and just match it the best I can? Any help would be appriciated.

Im sorry, but your blower is now junk because it looks bad with peeling paint. To remedy this, you must take off the Heaton and promplty replace it with a KB. That should restore alll lost power due to the paint peeling...

seriously, i think its powdercoated. Try a hardware store and just regular grey (not silver) paint. That should get it pretty close until you feel like pulling it off and painting it all over again.

Another vote for the KB. You can't have a chipped blower.:)

I agree thats a great solution. But I think the paint is probably a little cheaper. Maybe after x-mas.

Nice time to go for the Apten modified Eaton. Do an exchange and you'll end up with an unblemished (hopefully) and ported blower.
