looks good from the pics. That black only stuff does wonders in the way of filling imperfections! For engine bay, get some All Purpose Cleaner, some use simple green or other brands. From cold, run the engine until the needle starts to move from the temp gauge, then shut it off. I use aluminum foil, but you can use whatever. Cover the alternator, coil covers, etc. Then give it a light rinse from the hose. Like as light as a rain sprinkle. Then spray APC of choice on everything. Shut the hood to keep the heat it, and walk away for 5 minutes or so. Give heavily soiled areas some agitation from a rag or brush, then hose the engine off. LIGHTLY. Apply dressing of choice to everything. I prefer 303 Aerospace and Adam's SVRT. SVRT for the bigger pieces, and 303 for the little spaces where a spray can reach but a rag and gel couldn't.

Looks good, though I would not use spray wax, or apply any wax in general a day after a wash. I always wax immediately after a wash so I'm not rubbing any dust or contaminants into the paint that may have gotten on the car, especially on a black car that shows everything.

I have to agree about polishing a day after a wash. It is always best to apply polish/wax right after you wash the car. If you absolutely have to wait a day, be sure the car has sat in the garage and not been driven. Thoroughly rinse if it's the next day, dry, and then apply the polish/wax. Your Cobra looks really nice from the photos.
