I purchased the MM Full Length Sub Frame Connectors back in July. I was going to get together with a friend who knows how to weld, and install them between the two of us. The more I thought about it, the more I understood the dangers of not doing the job right - and the potential to burn the carpet (or the whole car for that matter). So I decided to better let a true professional do the job instead. I went to HPP today and had them installed.

I didn't take a picture of finished product. The even spray painted it when they were done with the welding.

All I can say is this: If you have a convertible, you need to do this. 95% of the groans and rattles just disappeared! Car feels solid now. The only thing I regret is not getting this done 7 years ago.

So they can weld in the frame connectors and NOT remove the carpets? I would be scared to death they would burn up my car.

Okay this might be a stupid question but I'm still curious. Do sub frame connectors come stock on our Terminators?

I completely agree! I had my car for 3-4yrs before I installed MM Subs and wished i'de done it sooner. I made a big diff in rigidity of the car making it feel more solid and stable especially in the corners. I lost a couple of creaks and pops after install but after awhile diff noises have developed to keep me guessing. :nonono:  :rolling:

Awsome glad you got it done! I had mine done within the first 3 months of owning mine. Very important to do these on any mustang. Another mechanic went to the shop where mine was being welded at and ask "why is he having those put on if he's not going to drag race it?". Some people.

They make a world of difference, after installing them and a MM roll bar the car feel so much more solid and all of the creeks and rattles are gone. My drivers door also used to drop when you would open it, stop after installing the subframe connectors.

op mentioned some bolton ones for the verts, coupes are a no. I still cant understand why my 03 mach1 coupe had at least bolt on ones from the factory and the cobra coupe didnt come with any.

I'm gonna agree with the others, should be one of the first things done to theses cars, coupe or vert.

i heard all the hype about the carpets catching on fire, they are staying in one place to long (not needed you dont have to weld the entire line) and they are letting the area get WAY to hot... if they know what they are doing there wont be an issue.

they used those same crappy bolt-ins on the Mach1s and it still made a hell of an improvement in a coupe, cant imagine how flimsy the very must have been
