Once they are bedded you are good to go. No need to rebed pads that have been tracked when you switch to them for an event. My rear Carbos and rotors are still good after 3 lapping events but I will need new front pads and rotors for my next lapping event when I go do one.

Thanks very much. It sounds like the second set of rotors is the key to keeping it simple.

But I have seen some guys just replacing pads to go racing, so maybe they just buy new pads each time rather than trying to reuse old?

Depending on the track some guys may try different compound pads and some could go through a whole set of front pads after a track event.

All depends on the track, weather, car prep.

Guys with brake cooling ducts, proper compound pads could get more mileage out of a set of pads on the track vs. somebody that is just using regular pads/incorrect compound pads without brake cooling.
