Looks good. We didn’t spec ours from the factory as the ‘15s were pretty far into their run when I went searching.

Dealer ran a search for everything you mentioned above, but in BlueJean and one showed up in a 3 state radius. I prefer the color matched bumpers to the xlt chrome package but beggars and choosers etc…
Sport package has the color matched bumpers and console shift...took me forever to find my 15 sport screw xlt with a 5.0

.there were 10 ecos to 1 5.0 lol

Be sure to update the thread with a pic of the yellow and white sticker showing the (payload) cargo carrying capacity. Did you research the towing guide to get that number?

Having the small motor is the limitation on that truck as far as towing and CCC. Nice detective work and figuring everything out.

@93Cobra#2771 I'll be sure to post pics once it comes in, I'll be sure to include the payload sticker. I am just taking a shot in the dark, apparently the "2.7 payload pkg" is pretty rare (makes sense as most people would just get the larger motor and max tow pkg).

The 3.73's and low options helps a lot. The GVWR of 6800# hurts a bit. That truck will likely weigh around 5000-5200# give or take. I'm going to guess payload of 1847#. :-D

Make sure you put a catch can on that 2.7, and change the oil at descent intervals. I like my 2.7, it'll surprise you.

Crazy, my car was built and shipped on Oct 3rd, it has been at their San Diego, CA (about 120 miles away from me) lot for over 6 weeks waiting for pick up and transport to the dealer. I just checked status and now shows ETA of mid to end of DEC! @13COBRA is it me or is this absolutely nuts? I called Ford CS and they say what I already know, that it is waiting for transport lol. Might just have to move on to a different truck.

Doesn't surprise me at all. I have several overdue from September.

We have the same issue at my dealership. They have been sending drivers to go get them and bring them here instead of waiting for transport trucks.

at this point, even if mine needed a motor I think I'd rather swap long blocks and keep going.
I’m driving a 2010 screw and will likely do the same when the time comes, I can’t justify new truck prices on my head, I will dive this one till the wheels fall off

Well it finally arrived yesterday! pretty cool truck, I was a little disappointed in the payload for a 2wd truck with the "payload pkg" but it'll work.

i havent looked at detailed specs in a while - is there a payload package and heavy duty payload package or is their just one to up that? Id assume thats NOT a max tow with the extra wheel stud and screwed up axles?

I dont beleive so, when you choose the 2.7 you cannot get the max tow pkg, you can only get the trailering tow pkg and the "2.7 payload pkg" witch is what I choose on this truck.

$60k before incentives for a 2wd 1/2 ton truck. Ford has lost their damn minds. Glad you are scoring some discounts.
Friend of mine bought a new 2012 F-450 4X4 Crew Cab Dually Power Stroke for $60K in Jan 2013. Loaded. Heated/A/C seats moon roof, leather, 8' bed, the works. Also got 0% financing.
It is crazy how expensive these P.U's have become in the last 10 years.

My dad still likes to tell me how everything is too expensive. Back in his day, a quarter would get you a movie, popcorn, soda and change back.
