I didn't wanna be that guy, especially since flash flooding isn't something I've (fortunately) ever had experience with, but I gotta know too. It seems clear as day (no pun intended) that that water is too deep to pass through.

Speaking from experience, you'll probably get a pretty decent payout with a next to nothing buyback price. I'd suggest buying it back and either selling it off again or parting it out yourself.

A friend of mine totaled his 78k mile 04 sport a few years ago by using it to take out two trees on the side of the garden state parkway after a F150 came into his lane. I believe the payout was 9 grand and the buy back was like 180 bucks. He parted it out and made another 2-3 grand off the car.

Ok too easy, let me explain...

Torrential downpour...water all over the windshield.

Water blended in with the same color as the road.

    Drove into it.

Dont know what else to tell you.

Im sure more will say the same comments as "how i didnt see it."

I’d be interested in the buy back from the insurance company. If you would want to do the process of buying it back

Sorry to see, but glad you're okay. Having been through a flash flood, I understand how it can happen. Before I went through one myself, I didn't understand how it was possible to get in that situation. It was surprising to say the least.

Doesn't scare me off. Find out what the buyback is. If cheap enough, I'd be more than happy to consider buying and resurrecting.

We get flooding like that with very little rainfall here. The same thing happens to so many people that washes are marked with height poles so you can see how deep it is. At this point the city has built bridges over most of them to protect the hundreds of people that lose cars trying to cross. Around here you have to assume running water is 5 feet deep.

Unless you are dead set blue oval fan a Chevy SS is a real good replacement, as both cars are similar in certain ways and others different. Both have room for 5 adults. The SS handles better but that is to be expected since it has 4 wheel independent suspension over the solid rear axle of the Marauder. The 14's are the fastest and quickest as GM and Holden detuned the 15-17 LS3's that and the mag ride is softer sprung over the 14's conventional FE3 suspension. Erie how my Trilogy Marauder (428 RWHP) and this 14 SS of mine accelerates and power delivery almost exactly the same. Still need to do a 1/4th baseline run in the SS as the best I did in my Marauder was a 12.96 at 108.7 MPH

My 14 on some roads is a real teeth chatterer because of how hard sprung and tune the suspension is. Only real complaint I got about my 14 is the rear seats not being able to fold down.

It's savable. It was just a boat trying to return to it's natural habitat, so it's made for that kind of situation.

Pull the plugs, change the fluids, gut the interior and let it dry. Put a hot battery in her and give her the beans

I would go with a Chevy SS (Manual or Auto) or a 15+ Charger with at least a 392.

But, we don't know your budget/comfort zone.

Those Chevy SS's are really nice IMO. Was close a few times in buying one. Especially when Chevy had the 20% off sales.
