Folks,

Ray here. As the title implies, I am old to SVTP but new to MACA. I am not sure how I missed MACA over the years that I have been in the area, but I look forward to the events that are scheduled in the future. I currently live in DC with my brother and love it; just moved away from Herndon, VA; nothing bad to say about Herndon but I needed to get back to the city. Born and raised in Minnesota, schooled in FL (Florida A&M University), worked in the Navy (Surface Warfare Officer—now reserve duty), and I currently work at DHS.

The car:

1996 Cobra Convertible

The last time we had it on the dyno it pulled what is in the signature. We have since changed the fuel system to some a lot more streetable and I have not had a change to get it tuned. I don’t have any knew pictures but some old ones can be found on this website (http://www.excessivemotorsport.net – look under customer vehicles); they have basically built the car from the ground up.

Engine:
Built engine
Canton Overflow / expansion tank (80-232)
Taylor 409 race wires

Fuel, Induction, and Tune:
Aeromotive Fuel rail kit (custom fabricated brackets)

Taylor Aluminum battery re-location box
FMS 60# injectors
Accufab Throttle body (SCTB 96 – 98)
Pro-M 80mm MAF
AFM Power pipe
Kenne-bell Boost-a-Spark
SCT

Drive train:
SPEC Stage II clutch
UPR Drive shaft loop (custom fabricated into sub frame connectors)
Moser rear-end cover, 31 Spline c-clip axles
Ford truck “special” (old: Auburn Pro differential)
Excessive Motorsports sub frame connector

Blower:
Vortech V-1 T-trim
Vortech mini-Race Bypass Valve
Reichard Racing Ultra grip 3.10” pulley (17 psi)

Intercooler:
Procharger 3 core air-to-air intercooler

Suspension:
QA1 K-member, Tubular A-arms, 12 way adjustable coil over struts (175#s), 12 way adjustable Shocks
Piper Motorsports custom 6 point roll bar
Steeda Rear springs
Steeda Bump steer kit
X2C Upper and lower control arms (welded torque boxes)

Exhaust:
FMS Shorty headers
SLP Catted X-pipe
MAC True-fit 3” Cat-back (TK9634)

Brakes:
Brembro Gran Turismo front brake system and rear rotors

Interior:
Steeda interior billet accessories
Pro-form Shift light
Simpson 5 pt. Harness
Autometer Dual bezel gauge holder,
Autometer Boost and fuel pressure gauges

Exterior:
Shortened antenna
Smoked Headlights (not good for night driving)

Wheels and Tires:

Weld Racing Magnum 2.0 (15x10)
M/T ET Street Radial 275/60/15

Thanks folks, but to be honest, the car is a twenty footer right now. Courtesy of jealous punks in AL, WI, GA, and MN, I have been keyed at least six times and it is quite an eye sore. ‘05 was for performance and ‘06 will be spent trying to get the car back to its glory days of late 1995. The plans are for a Soft Top, new but stock looking and lighter hood, and some type of deep black paint job.

Welcome aboard Ray! Holy mods is right. Are ya a fan of Venus or do you just like the fact that she can carry a 6 pack around on her backside? LOL

Look forward to meeting you at an event!
