oil additives in 96 4V with a vortech .....opinions please

i was wondering if using an oil additive to a V1 vortech 4V motor will actually be harmful. sorry if this belongs somewhere else and if this is a crazily recycled topic but i was just curious what most thought.

This. Use good oil and skip the additives.

I run Rotella T1 10w30 in all my vehicles regardless of the power levels. Works great and it's cheap as hell. No need for extra additives or anything, most of that stuff is snake oil anyway.
