Thank you!!!

I believe it's just as good if not better as I use automotive paint and clear coat. I use the paint code of the Cobra (i.e. 04 Screaming Yellow is D6) and then I use house of color clear. All decals are created using a Laser Jet color printer. I add them to the base coat and then clear coat over the top of them so the decals are sealed and will never peal.

Due to the materials I use these cars are not cheap, but I feel you get a high quality product worthy of display.
Sounds awesome! If you wouldn't mind sending me a PM with how much a black coupe would be I'd appreciate it!

+1, The car looks just like a smaller version of the real thing. Great attention to detail, minus the factory orange peel!
Would do again. Now you just need to find me a '13 GT500 Glenn.

They do or someone does. The local Meijer store had a black and red stripe 13 GT500.

Okay everyone. My daughter came to town yesterday, so I spent the day with her. So, that put me a little behind schedule.

I got up early today and started stripping the paint off the cars in production.

Ready for their chemical bath.

What they look like as the chemical starts to work.

Here they are after thier initial chemical strip. I still need to sand them and remove the final remnants of paint. I'm hoping to get them in primer today.

The CO vert will be done tonight. I only have final assembly and detail work to complete it. So, I'll post up pictures tonight.

On eBay, I noticed that some come in a black box, like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAISTO-200...733116?hash=item25e439093c:g:ylwAAOSwoF1Z2u88

and some come in a blue box, like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-Maist...987021?hash=item4b2e56ca4d:g:pEAAAOSwj99aFukZ

Does anyone know what the difference is? They're both 2003 Cobras and they're both convertibles so I'm wondering why the different boxes? It looks like the black box is more desirable for a 2003 colored car since it has that little stand with it that says 2003 Cobra, but the blue box would be better for a 2004 since it doesn't say anything.

Date of manufacture. The black boxed ones were the first runs and the blue ones have come out since. Generally speaking.
Maisto just updated they’re packaging.

I'm not sure. I have only seen the TR coupes come in that blue box.

My guess is they either had more cars than boxes or when they ran out of black boxes it was easier to use the blue boxes because all they say are Special Edition. Then they place a sticker on the box that says 2003 SVT Cobra.

So, I think it was a cost/supply issue.

No sir you're not seeing it wrong. I have to print the decals on a sheet of paper and then trim them out. It's not the cleanest process, but it's the way it needs to be done with the tools I have available.

The pictures magnify the process Doug. So, it sticks out like a sore thumb in the pictures some times.

When you see it in person you can still see the "trimming" but it's not that bad because of the small size of the decals.

Wow, that is an amazing job. The paint is so shiny and the detail is great. I can't wait to see the Mystichrome.

Thank you HP. Your comments are greatly appreciated!

I wanted to let you know that I can only paint two cars at a time. So, I'm completing the coupes first as those orders were placed first.

I should have them in clear today so I should be able to start painting your MC vert by the middle of next week.

I'll post more updates later. Letting them flash and then I'll install decals and then clear coat them this afternoon.

Lol, I finished adding the decals. And I just finished shooting the clear. That SY looks awesome all shinney!

That SM looks clean too.

Once they dry a little more I'll post up some pictures.

They both came out really nice.
