Love the Bullitt cars. Also, I absolutely need to know where you got the Family Truckster from
There are two family trucksters, one without the luggage and one with. I found it on eBay from Germany. It really didn’t take too long to get but you’ll have to pay a little for it. It’s a must have if you grew up in that era.

Freaking Awesome! Love those shelves full of cars!

Yeah, my spare bedroom closet is full of empty boxes lol.

That GMP 93 Cobra R is worth a pretty penny.

And that's all folks!!!!!!

Those Roush’s are a blast from the past. I have pictures from when i was a little kid with the Whistler, 7 Eleven, Motorcraft, Mountain Dew, Mustang 25 cars. My dad did all of the paint and aerofab work on those. Roush always subcontracted out there paint/body during those times for race cars or show cars to him. I can barely remember them. I wish i was older at the time.

Not sure if they make a 83 Mustang GTP diecast but that was a big one at the time.

Okay everyone,

I ordered a Fox Body GMP diecast off Ebay. @Mustang5L5 motivated me to try this again and attempt a wheel swap on a GMP diecast. I got a VERY good deal on this GMP diecast, but I HATE the murdered out look. So, once I receive this car I'm going to see if I can swap out the wheels with minimal effort and minimal to no damage LOL.

I'll keep you guys posted on my success or failure rate LOL.

This is what I purchased.

This is what I'm going to try and make it look like. Should look pretty good with the Black and Gold theme you all know I'm partial too LMAO!!!

Okay Everyone,

Car came in yesterday and I got to work. Jesus Christ, now I remember why I do not like modifying GMP cars. Nothing is easy with these cars. Not even a simple wheel swap.

First the offsets and mounting points are always completely different. So, it is never an easy swap.

I removed the front wheels and had to drill out the hubs to get them to fit over the wheel hubs. When I did this I removed the rim on the hub that holds the wheel screw in place. So, the new wheels could not be screwed back in place as they were initially. So, had to epoxy them in place. Offset for the front was fine once I drilled out the axle hub.

The rear wheels are just pressed on to a metal axle that runs through the rear end housing. Of course the new wheels have way bigger holes and much more plastic. So, the offset was completely off and there was no way to put the wheel on the thin axles.

So, I had to fill the wheel hole with epoxy. Then I had to grind down the wheel hub. I couldn't go down as far as I needed on the wheel or there wouldn't have been any plastic left to insert the metal axle. So I also had to grind the axle housing down to get the proper back spacing. Of course I couldn't get the epoxy drilled to the proper size to grip the metal axle. So, once again the epoxy was used to hold everything into place.

After going through all that just for a wheel swap I think it came out badass!!! The car doesn't roll now, but I don't need it to roll LOL.

Got the Black notch put in it's home. Looks really good next to the red one.

Hmm, I thought the wheels were the same. Come to find out they are slightly different. Awesome, now they don't look like twins.

I don't know why GMP didn't make it like this to begin with LOL.

I just bought a new GT500 and I desperately need you to do your thing and paint it to my match car in Eruption Green. When are you back to painting cars??

Hello Chris,

Sorry to say I have no clue on that. I used my garage to paint. Now that I have 2 classic cars sitting in there I have no place to paint.

Also, I just took the heads off my 57 T-Bird to get them rebuilt. So, that is my main focus these days.

I really want to get back in to painting these diecast cars. It's a fun hobby. I just have to find the space now. So, it could be a little while until I get back into the hobby.

Sorry I couldn't give you better news my friend.......

Hello Everyone,

Here is a quick update on my collection. As mentioned previously, I had been looking for the GMP 1989 White convertible. I was finally able to pick one up.

I also just got the GMP 1993 Cobra R car. Waiting for it to be delivered.

In this case I have the white convertible and I also added the yellow convertible. I had to remove the white and blue street fighter Fox Bodies from this case.

In this case I added the blue drag race car on the top shelf. I had to remove the blue with yellow flames car from this case.

This is the case where I placed the Fox Bodies I had to move from the other cases. The rest of my collection remains the same. Just providing an update.
