In many of the 2.0T's the crank journals weren't cleaned out after machining. It's not like bearings need oil or anything.

didnt realize that was the cause but we had 2 people in our office have theirs lockup out of nowhere. One was in a rental for about 4 months.

crazy a step like that could get missed

FIL just got a new motor in his '15 Optima SXL with the turbo motor. Same deal... Driving on the freeway and began losing power. Luckily he was near an exit ramp that dumped him out on a street with a Kia dealer. 89k miles and she was trying to seize up. Got a new motor no questions asked.

If you dropped the pan (which was how Hyundai initially inspected a vehicle) and it failed it looked as if you went panning for gold and silver with the oil pan.

Oddly enough it was either a major power loss/seize or just a loud ticking in the top of the head that seemingly went away after the engine warmed up. Either way it was unacceptable and I don't know if Hyundai deserves any credit for the replacement considering it morphed into a recall. The company did increase the engine warranty though if you opted for the pcm recall.

Ford makes it really easy to ridicule their virtue signaling and wokeness.

Fact of the matter is when the liberal/marxists shoved this bullshit down "normal" societies throat years ago, it was pretty much accepted, much to their dismay and anger. It was supposed to divide us, but it didn't.

Take 2019 for example. Times were pretty good.

So the liberal/marxists had to go back to the drawing board and double, triple, quadruple down on their efforts to divide us. Hence, what you see today in the media, business, schools, churches, society, etc.
The liberal/marxists have to have hate. They won't stop until they get it in return. It's their lifeblood.
