That is awesome! There used to be a standing wave at Waimea Bay (the water from Waimea Falls) after a good downpour, but it wasn't as wide as the one they made.
Meanwhile...in local news....a nearby town suffers from a depleted drinking water supply. More @ 5 pm.

Eventualy the river does that anyway after a crap load of rain, happens at least once a year but yes pretty awesome.

Very aware, and they dump naturally. Look at the erosion of the sand over the course of the day. It will only get larger. I'm sure the adverse affects of that will show when that beach is flooded. But hey it looks cool so that's all that matters
I did one of the indoor wave machines it was so fun. In the natural environment would be even cooler.
