Thanks guys, glad to hear that. Would you prefer the R888R's over the G2 555R's, re-read my original question and thats what I meant to ask but not clearly obviously. Will edit.
I have no experience with the nitto tires.

The R888Rs are really old tire technology. Take a look at the Nanking AR-1, they are much much better and cheaper. I had both the R888R and the AR-1s and the Nankings are better and have zero road noise and are really good in the wet. Thanks guys, glad to hear that. The tire compound is different and offers more feedback than the R888R. With the AR-1s, I was 1.5sec quicker than the R888Rs...same day...same conditions. Both new sets of tires.Other than road noise (fixed with an exhaust and pushing harder on that right pedal), what is the "new technology" in the Nankings? They also don't offer the sizes I need. YMMV.
I've had mine for a few weeks now. On an 8 second, 6R80 car with a Gen 3R TVS on 21.5 psi and a stock converter (hits like sledgehammer from anywhere at wot), they hold more power than you'd think, but at the same time, I still have to show it a ton of respect.
For what I bought them for, cruising, driving to NMRA events, shooting for a 9 on 20's and getting me home in unexpected wet roads, they're perfect.

What size are you looking for? Also, what is the size of your rim?
This would be a really good option as well:That's good feedback. Thanks.
I've got 295/30R19 on 19x11 wheels in front and 345/30R19 on 19x13 wheels in back.
R888Rs suck. Try the Nanking AR-1. It is cheaper and way better of a tire
This should answer your questions:interesting...not to hijack thread but when you say better; road course characteristics better?..ie braking/lateral turn? straight line speed, noise, life...?
About to order some new r888r's, but didn't know about these AR-1's till you posted
FWIW I've been happy with 888's in back , r888r in front. 800+hp, will echo they are noisey, and 888's don't age well.
Thanks for the feedback555RII's. Size 295/35/20.
