Whats the biggest width of Nitto NT555R I can get on a 18x9 rim? I know the Nittos (or some of their models at least) fit narrow, and I believe people have said in this forum that a 305/35/18 will fit nicely on an 18x9 rim.

i've seen people put that size on a wheel, but it had alot of bulge. if they offer a 295, i'd go with that.

I think 285 is all you can get in a 555 before it goes to 315, right? I had the 285 555's on 9 inch Zenetti's and they fit great. A 305 would definitely bulge, even with a 555 which traditionally ran narrower if I'm not mistaken.

My wife has 10.5" bullits on her gt with 315's. They are about 12.5" across the treads. They bulge a little on the 10.5", might look funny on 9".

315 will fit just fine. Nitto's run small

IIRC, only the 17" 555R's run small. I've got the standard NT555 in 285 35 18 on a 18x9 and there is a slight buldge to it.

Anyhow, iirc Nitto only makes the 555R in 285 and 305. Save yourself some money and go 285, 305 is too big for a 9" wheel.

well i used to have 18x9.5 y2ks and with a 285/35/18 555 street the side walls were flush. The 285 555 is a tad wider than the 285 555r (per nittos web site) I then got some 295/35/18 bfg drag radials and mounted them on the y2ks and they had just a slight bulge. IMO 295 bfg dr is about the same width as the 305 nitto. (since bfg runs super wide) The 305 nitto will look decent on the 9 inch wheel you have.

That's right, I remember now. It jumps from 305 to 335 in 18".

Again, I'd have to see a 305 on a 9" to believe it.

My apologies I thought I read it was a 17... Anyway the 305 would fit fine on an 18x9 still and would look better than a 285 once again because nitto's run smaller than normal tires...

For reference... Here is my friends car (1st post) that is running a 345/30/18 BFG DR on 18x10 saleens. And although it has a little bulge the tire wear was normal and looked badass IMO and that is much wider than fitting a 305 nitto on an 18x9 rim

Agreed... Someone who also knows from experience

One of my friends has 285s on a 10" and it looks great, and another one of my friends has a 305 on a 10" and that one looks a little wider but great also. I'll try and get a pic of the 285s...btw both of them are running nittos
