Cyber- What is your point?? I am by no means giving Nino a hard time. I just think that we should be able to know the time frame in the "hold off for a little bit". THis could mean a few days, a week, a few weeks? Some of us need to plan our purchases in advance. Dave, I hope that your comment was not a flame, especially with only 71 posts.

Sorry Brasil... I wasn't trying to flame. I just figured that NINO is trying to help us out as much he can... and if we kept bugging him, he would be less likely to help us out.

I am curious why would you want smaller cats? The larger cats are what will flow more, do you want more back pressure for some reason?

No problem Cyber - We were all just trying to figure our why there was no response for so many days, but it makes more sense now.

I think Nino's reply is a polite way of saying the market is too hot to support a sizable discount at this point. Afterall, if MRT can sell all they can make at list, why would they be willing to discount?

Mark, it is all in what one chooses to believe in. Heck, according to a post that you made a while back, you purchased your XLR on GM's S plan (which I believe is right around invoice or less), while most dealerships are charging mark-ups, and it is a very hot limited car. Did you pay a mark up? NO. Did you pay sticker? No. My point is that you can get discounts even on the hottest and hardest to find products. It just takes some knowledge and research. . Dealerships up to this day are still trying to charge a mark-up on Cobra's, which only a fool would pay.

I heard that the new Bassani cats flow much better. It would be great if MRT used them instead of the Maggies cats.

I would agree with you to a point, however my deal was struck with a marketing specialist at GM who provided me the number to obtain the special pricing and he also had to guarantee a replacement unit for the dealer if they requested one.

In Nino's case, he has to buy the unit from MRT. It sounds like they are not providing him a discount, so it's pretty hard for him to be flexible.

Now if you were to contact MRT directly you would be in the same situation I was when I purchased the XLR.

Maybe so, but sometimes you can get a better deal through a vendor. For example, a Borla Stinger can be purchased much cheaper thorugh a vendor than directly throguh Borla. I thought that I would give a vendor a chance to earn my business first before going directly to the manufacturer.

Someone arranged a GP not too long ago directly from MRT. Besides MAC, I have not heard of any other H pipe manufacturers

Quick update. It looks like we'll be able to put the GP together in approximately 2 weeks.
