Well you guys gave great advice for my nascar trip, so i figure it couldn't hurt to ask for input again. My girl and I are staying in the Tower hotel on the Canadian side of the falls. I've only been to Canada once, but that was many moons ago as a child with my parents. We are getting into buffalo at 830pm on Thursday and leaving out of buffalo at 530pm on Sunday. So we essentially have 2 full days to fill with really only 2 solid nights there since i know we will be zonked from work on top of travel and wont get settled in till around 10 if not later.

So is there anything that's an absolute must? The things we have planned so far are the expected Maiden of the mist boat, and going into the caves behind the falls. Any advice is appreciated. The flight, car, and hotel is all set up so just looking for help making the most out of my time.

Here is some stuff I found with Google. You MUST watch the last video "Doing the Edge" in Toronto.

Things to do in Niagara Falls: Check out 29 Niagara Falls Attractions - TripAdvisor

I would say definitely look into this jet boat ride.

A helicopter tour looks like a lot of fun!

Now THIS would be an attraction neither of you will EVER forget. It's in Toronto which is 80 miles from Niagara Falls. Watch the video!!!!!

At night jump on the QEW and hit Toronto, it's only about an hour drive, less if no traffic. That's where the real night life is, NF is just kinda touristy, once you do the maiden and tours, the rest is wax museums and haunted houses, etc. lol

I just gotta say, Niagara Falls on either side is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Simply breathtaking. Enjoy your trip!

Casino (Fallsview) is pretty solid. Might wanna see what acts they have in the time you are there.

Maid of the and Caves are both really solid. You will enjoy them, very touristy but neat

They do fireworks over the falls on Fridays in the Summer Fireworks over the Falls | Niagara Falls Tourism

Skylon Skylon Tower | Niagara Falls dining, shopping and much more! is a unique experience as well, might be good for a meal or check out observation deck.

For you short time time that should fill up your two days, in addition to walking and shopping (theres some outlets on Lundys Lane if you GF likes that sorta stuff) and eating. Toronto is great as well but you arent going to be able to do the Falls and Toronto in a two day span.

Go to the brazilian bbq place. The place where they just come by with mounds of meat.

Go late, and ask to sit on the balcony. You can see the fireworks from there.

Me and my wife had a good time when we stayed there on the Canadian side. I reccomend going to Margaritaville right next to the Fallsview Casino at night. We hit up the casino too which was fun.

We also went to a steakhouse which had a perfect view of the fireworks. It's called "The Keg". Decent food and a great view.

Copacabana Steakhouse

Brasa Steakhouse

These 2 places are a block away from each other and definitely worth a shot if you have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse. I've been to Copacabana twice; never been to Brasa (but I have heard it's just as good if not better).

The only thing "The Keg" has going for it is the view in the Embassy Suites hotel (which I have stayed in and dined at many times). The Keg is the McDonalds of Steakhouses up here.

Unless you plan on checking out Toronto, spend your night around the Fallsview Casino - Maybe check out a show if one is playing.

The food was good to me. It certianly was not "McDonalds of steakhouses".

I wasn't so much referring to the food quality as the chain aspect. There is one in every city up here. I've probably been 30-40 times (many birthdays, celebrations etc.) IMHO it doesn't hold a candle to something like a Ruth's Chris you may be familiar with.

There's so much to do there... The Canadian side is definitely better than the American side of it. Way more stuff to do. I live about an hour away. Make sure to check out the maid of the mist and the Clifton hills.

Thanks for all your help guys! I've basically written out all our options and I've already booked a late dinner in the Skylon tower for Friday night. My immediate family is coming up to meet us on Saturday, so we will probably do Brasa then.

I'm really interested in the helicopter rides you posted. Looking into the price it seems like its about 250 for two people for a 10 min ride and I think i might do it. I've never been in a helicopter and this is my only real vacation since I'm nursing a new job, so what the hell.

Also plan on visiting the botanical garden, Rainforest cafe for lunch saturday, the aquarium of Niagara, as well as the mentioned maiden of the mist and cave walks. Should be great!

Also plan on bringing my camera since i have been out of shooting for far too long.

I remember last year looking into a Niagara Falls hotel that had spectacular views from the rooms. I'm thinking it was the Embassy Suites. We almost reserved a room for a weekend but had to change plans. I just remember the awesome views from the room.

In Niagara Falls.
Look at ANY of your bills you get. If you see a DMF fee, ask them to remove it.
It's a 'destination marketing fee' and they add it to your bill without telling you, it is not required to pay. Copacabana's for example might be 5-10 bucks (i can't remember)

Skywheel is a pretty awesome view.
Maid and the Jetboat are a must.

If you need to park near/on Clifton Hill, you can park on the first right going down from Lundy's Lane (by Rumours/Ripleys) just tell them you are going to Boston Pizza for lunch or supper. It'll be free. If its at night, you can say Rumours.(also free).

Most of the stuff on the hill is gimicky. But if you're into it, get the pass with how many you want to do. It's cheaper. Also if you can haggle, try to get student pricing. Some of them may bite to get the sale.

If you like Wine, make a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. 10 min. down the highway.

Toronto is a trip unto itself.

Yeah it's defiently not Ruth's Chris but then again you're not paying Ruth's Chris prices either. I just suggested it because we enjoyed the food and the view of the fireworks were perfect.

I will for sure! Today was our first full day and we went to the aquarium, the botanical gardens, rainforest cafe, hit the casino for a little, a helicopter ride (which was free because a 9 year old threw up on my girlfriends shoes and burberry purse during the last 10 seconds. Didnt even have to ask, they offered to comp it), and had an awesome 2.5 hour dinner in the Skylon rotating dining room during a spectacular lightning storm.

Tomorrow is maid of ths mist, caverns behind the falls, drive through safari, indoor skydiving, and Brasa!

I will deff write a more comprehensive review and post pics when im home on a computer. Thanks for the advice all, this trip has been killer so far.
