I am looking at buying a 2003 Cobra Convertible tomorrow, it has 15k on the clock

Mods are 2.8" pulley
Mac Exhaust with an X pipe
Diablo Predator tuner

he says he's putting down 440 to the wheels and about 505 to the crank

Are those numbers legit?

How much would you expect to pay for a vehicle like that? It's in pristine condition paint wise and has Crome SVT wheels, the interior is completely mint and I could see nothing wrong with anything...

What should I look for? What mods should I do? What should I be weary about? What is the "tick" that i keep hearing about?

Thanks in advance for the info guys

Numbers sound about right, you should find out who did the tune. The head tick seems to be hit or miss, mine had it but was replaced under warranty and hasnt been a problem since.

I'll ask who did it,

What other tuning devices would be recommended above the Diablo? it seems sort of rudimentary, any other suggestions?

I wouldn't be overly concerned about the tick issue when looking at '03s. The vast majority are okay.

I agree. And most of the tick issues that have popped up seem to be caused by long, high speed runs. Even if you did get it...it's not that expensive a repair. $1500 buys you a complete set of brand new heads that have all the latest updates done to them.
