When all you people start postin personal best down "south" I figure its time to watch the snow fly up here in AK. Wife finally OK'd a new purchase. Picked up my new winter toy last week, decided it was time for an upgrade from my 06 MXZ-X 800 136, wife now inherits that sled.

2012 Polaris Pro-RMK 800 Assault, kid tested btw........

Had a chance to ride one last year and was really impressed, gonna have to jump ship on skidoo, love their sleds, but Polaris stepped up their game when they came out with the new Pro chasis in 2011. Snow is fallin, cant wait for the season to start.

Assaults come with some cool factory options

Competition Track
Very aggressive shock package from their race sleds, full adjustable
extra frame bracing
handlebar option (renthal)

By all intentions these sleds are made to jump 100-200ft and take the abuse......

I've always HATED Polaris. I've always been a cat guy, but god damn, are their new sleds so sick. I would buy one in a heart beat. Congrats on the new sled. I miss my F7...

Beautiful sled!!! I just pulled the motor out of mine last week to get it ready for this year here in IA. I think next year I'm going to get rid of my antique 98 zrt800 and upgrade. Suspension is absolutely terrible on it compared to what is out now. I would love to pick up a new 1100 turbo but we will have to see where the funds are next year. Enjoy it and be safe!!!!!!!

Beautiful sled but it would be better if it was an Arctic Cat

Was very tempted to buy a new cat chassis, gonna see how they pan out 1st. I have a buddy getting a high country, im sure we will be swapping some.

I spent part of my summer fixing up my ZL440, I want to get something faster but I rarely get to ride anymore so I can't justify the purchase, it is always hit or miss if it snows here.

Awesome new sled man! We've had no real problems with our liberties, but I know the fusion (that was the one, right?) was so problematic they actually stopped making it and dealers were dumping them for next to nothing.... Although they were good looking sleds lol

I really like the look of that sled, to bad we don't do anything crazier then trail rides or that'd be awesome to have in the collection lol

have fun with it!

Thanks! I was glad they cleared up the dreaded "stumble" that were on the older 800's....07-10? Polaris never really handled the issue however. They did some recalls with no fix, reflashes. Most I knew threw a pipe and power commander on them and it went away. They redesigned the 800 in 11 and it went away, I know several who put 1500-2000 miles on them last year and they are rock solid. They made some small tweaks in 12 also, couple more ponies.

You can always buy a rush! Although this sled pounds the bumps like a trail sled! Same chassis with that rowdy looking suspension setup, heard it works real well.

Nice choice. Hope they have their crankshaft probs. fixed this year!!

Nothing like blasting pow in the backcountry. Best adrenaline rush out there imo. I envy you guys who live out west or way up north... Have to drive at least 12 hrs to get to anything steep and deep.

Nice sled. Polaris did a great job with the new chassis. Motor reliability was much better than the previous 800 P.O.S. A few went down last winter (mostly crank bearings) but not very many, and they had a few electrical gremlins on some sleds. My 2 friends just got the same sled as you. One comming from a Yamaha Viper Mountain and the other a 07 Summit 800R. I think he was on his 4th motor on the 800R in just 6000 miles..............
