So, like many others here over the last few years I had some issues with the stock Pistons in the original Terminator shortblock and thought It was finally time for a rebuild. So I did just that! Only this time I went with a Teksid block and a brand new set of CNC ported heads and added some longtubes at the same time. I already had the Kenne Bell 2.8 Mammoth, which was installed in 2009.

I started back in January of this year and finished up in May. Most of the work was done in my own garage except for the assembly of the shortblock which was done by Adam Bird at Central Auto. He also fully balanced and blue printed it at the same time and I chose to go with ARP main studs. Once the rest of the assembly had begun at home in my garage, I decided to go with Cometic Head gaskets and ARP Head studs. I also swapped out the original exhaust manifolds and installed a set of BBK ceramic coated longtubes, and before anyone says anything, yes I wanted a set of Kooks also but just didnt have enough in the budget at the time.

Anyway, as you'll see in the pictures it was a family affair with both of my Kids helping me out form time to time and my Wife also. On with the Pics and Video. hope you enjoy! :)

My 7 year old Daughter having fun and lending a helping hand! Hopefully memories that last a lifetime as well!

Dyno graph and video below. These numbers are SAE corrected and are fairly conservative with only 14* of timing on the 23psi torco tune.

I bought them from a member here who had several sets. They were brand new in the box and very nicely done, so glad I bought them when I had a chance to. I actually bought them about a year before I started my build.

Are your snakes bigger on the fenders? I have been debating doing something different with the snakes but can't pull the trigger.

Yes they are. They are GT500 snakes, the previous owner put them on and I wasn't going to keep them but 6-7 years later they are still on there. They actually grew on me and they are a lot nicer quality compared to the originals.

Awesome build man! New stronger motor and shaving weight off of the front end as well, Awesome!

Yes, it's noticably lighter on the front end transfers weight much better now, and I even notice the braking has improved also.
