Use aspen bedding, not newspaper. Also in the future you should have the enclosure all set up BEFORE you get the snake.

Very Nice Ball Python...i have a tiger reticulated python right now, and am getting a pair of albino retics here soon..I use newspaper for my substrate, and while its not the best looking it works good and have never heard of the toxins from the harming snakes..Alot of big name breeders use it too, another good thing to use is shop towels, they hold humidity good and are pretty cheap and readily available..

Nice looking snake. Not something I'd want, but I do admire them when I see them. How big does this one get?
