I copied and pasted this 95R auction this morning and have just looked at it again, it is still showing the bidders in the new format. If you click on the bid history, the new bidder info. is still listed on this auction.

Maybe it is just on ebay auto's for high priced items. Here is a Cobra-R center cap and it has 10 bidders listed:

You must get a different screen than I do. I only see two bidders: Bidder 1 bid $17,050 and then Bidder 2 bid $25,000.

This is the third time this car has been auctioned. The last time the high bid was $25K, and it wasn't sold.

I can't really verify that the seller isn't the high bidder. :shrug:

Why would any normal bidder jump that much on a bid? Seems questionable.

I had that happen also....someone from germany of all places! and had a scammer do buy it now on my brother's boat I was selling for him....the bidder was from ireland!!! it was the classic "i'll send a check for cost plus 1000 for shipping to my country" fake check routine :bs:

Just because the location says UK or Germany, it does n't mean the scammer is actually there.

We get lots od Mustang stuff in the UK on Ebay, that clearly the pictures are from the US, the person says they are in the UK, but they cannot write/speak english very well. Typically they are outside of Europe.

The only way is to report the scams and hopefully, the idiots who are tying it on will move onto something else, or like most of us, get a job.
