Ok..any heads-up for 99-04 cluster.??

I have already fixed the cold solder problem at the ribbon connector.

The 99 got the coolant level indicator of the 96-98. I found a VW Part that is the same thing.

99-04 clusters are very different. The are computerized clusters and Ford refused to sell me a license for the schematics and microcode for them so what I can do for them is very limited.

I also sell gauge upgrade units that can be used to turn the oil pressure, temp and volt gauges into real gauges rather than idiot lights in gauge form. I hope this doesn't get me into trouble with the moderators.

Very cool and timely for me as I need to pull the cluster since the odometer stopped working. I have another issue with a failed speedcal and thought that was the reason, but after a quick bypass to make the speedometer read something I realized it and the trip odometer weren’t working.

The odometer stepper motor is driven by the speedometer electronics, so if the speedometer is not working, the odometer won't work either. Good luck with diagnosing and fixing it.
