Hey guys, I've been lurking here for a little while and finally picked up a car. This is the best forum I have been on yet.

I am 22 years old, full time student and full time employee at a Ford dealership as an "Internet Sales Specialist." Basically, I take pictures of vehicles and put them online. I occasionally write detailed auction descriptions for eBay.

I had a '99 Chrome Yellow GT coupe back in the day, but got into some trouble [in it] and had to sell it. I lost my license for nearly three years; I was reinstated in March. I searched high and low for Cobras shortly after, but scratched Screaming Yellow off my list simply because I couldn't find in my price range.

I was bummed out one night after missing out on a deal, and lazily pulled up the butt hole of internet classifieds - Craigslist - and ran a search throughout Illinois. Voila, found my baby.

59,000 miles (just turned 60,000 a few days ago. I drive a lot) with plenty of bolt on goodies...

Although I was slightly discouraged by its 5 owner history, the car was so immaculate and mechanically sound that I could not pass it up. It has the dark suede interior which is nearly flawless. Here are a few pictures of the undercarriage. It looks pretty clean to me, aside from the scrapes on the midpipe (doesn't bother me; it's inevitable). Here, you can see the [BBK?] off road X-pipe and Magnaflow catback.

I don't know where the engine bay picture went, but it is very clean. I will snap one a little later and throw it up here.

According to TORQUE (Android app linked to my OBD Bluetooth adapter), it pushes around 14 psi. Just about right for a 2.8" pulley and bolt-on's. Like any Cobra, it hauls ass.

I got kinda shafted by the previous owner, who gave me only ONE KEY with the car; No owner's manual, fob, certificate, or handheld tuner. Traction control is off, so I have a feeling this car is married to a DiabloSport out there somewhere. Thankfully, I got another fob and programmed it right away, but the lack of documentation, accessories, etc. still peeves me off a bit.

I am going to do some digging and try to find the previous owners of this car. They must have REALLY loved this thing, because it is really quite a gem. It reminds me of the good ole' days in my GT... but a LOT better.

You're from Bloomington, aren't you? I'm friends with Ryan, Wes, Matt... all those guys. I recall them recently talking about someone named Glen who just picked up a Terminator.

And the midpipe is a Mac Pro-Chamber.

Nice looking car! You should bring out to the cice dyno day on Saturday!

Yep, that's me. Thanks for the tip on the midpipe. I am dying to go to the CICE dyno day, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it now. We're having a sale next week and I have a lot of cars to put online, so I don't think I can take the time off Saturday. For how long will the dyno be open? If they will be dyno'ing past 5:00PM, I will swing by after work for sure.

Yep, went to the last one. It was pretty cool. I deleted my Facebook last year, but if I make another, I will surely join the group. Thanks!

nice car...BEST.COLOR.PERIOD. !!!!!

Agreed! I'm glad I found this one! To me, it just takes on a different persona. I remember when I saw a Mustang for the first time, a yellow '04 GT, I thought to myself, "Now THAT is a f&$%ing sports car." Just the sight of that car pulled me out of an early ricer obsession and from then on, I was a muscle car guy.

That's a really nice looking SY Terminator you have there. Stance looks nice. A shame you didn't get all of the documentation from the previous owner.

By the way, you can get a reproduction SVT certificate and reproduction window sticker from one our members, Jeff Brown. You will not be able to tell they're reproductions. Here's the link to the certificate thread. Just PM him for more info. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/terminator-talk-229/522077-new-svt-certificate.html

Time to bring this thread back from the dead.

I attended a local event, CICEnet Dyno Day, for a few pulls in the new car. The location was Redline Motorsports. It was a great time and the guys at Redline are very good.

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCBmvqr5sf8&hd=1"]YouTube - ‪2004 SVT Cobra dyno pull - Eaton w/ 2.8" Pulley. LOUD!‬‏[/nomedia]

The first run made 450RWHP / 457RWTQ. The second pull made 429HP. My buddy suggested running a jumper across the intercooler pump connection to force it to run continuously before the last pull to dissipate some heat. The reservoir showed no flow, so the pump is probably shot. About 10 minutes after the second run, the car made similar power to the second run.

Looks like I will need a new intercooler pump so the car will run more consistently. That Eaton gets hot way faster than I expected! Out of about a dozen vehicles that attended, my car was 4th in horsepower (1st - 3rd places received a plaque), but over 100HP behind 3rd place. 3rd place was my friend's Whipple'd '03 Cobra which made 553HP.

Your Cobra sounds really nice. Nice numbers, too. Enjoy it this summer. :)
