BUT, they did it again!!!
There are two firmware downloads so I have to play guess the firmware again.

Should I use the Predator Ford Cobra r12-D-FG or Predator Ford Cobra r12-D ?

My Predator (first run unit) just say "Loading" with a progress bar when it powers up, nothing about Ford_gas or Ford_Cobra, followed by a "Powered by KROS", followed by a stylized Cobra logo, then the menu.

I called Diablo and spoke with one of their techs for half an hour last week making it clear that they need to account for all customers and make the firmware instructions unambiguous. Apparently he didn't listen or communicate that on.

Why can't they just make this simple, after all they built the damn thing in the first place!

Diablo, are you listening!!!!! :read:  :nono:

So, anyone, which firmware should I choose this time around?

Well, the Predator now recognizes the new flash. All I can say is "Right on". I have been chomping at the bit for this. It works guys. So any of you that have been waiting like me, do it. It now has some different perameters as stated above. I am back in business.

I tried the Ford Gas tune first and it worked fine. Then I thought about it and changed it to the Ford Cobra tune. No difference. My only problem is the shift light feature does not work, even when set at the default 6250 rpms. I do like the new tune though, I was getting a little detonation in 6 th gear when I floored it going up a hill. Yes, I know you aren't supposed to do that.......... As far as seat of the pants feel, I can't tell any difference but we shall see about that at the track.

jordanvraptor>>> Are you sure the shift light feature doesn't work? I thought the same thing at first. The light still comes on when it thinks you should shift. Then comes on again when it hits the desired rpm's.

If it still comes on for recommended fuel economy upshifts, as well as a max rpm light, that's a disappointment.

I wanted it turned into a true shift light only.
