If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the Diamonds? I heard they are pretty expensive with all the options. Also, I've read about all of your issues with builders. Who did you end up going with? I'm planning a build shortly and have been having trouble deciding who to go with. I also just got a 3.4 crusher and am thinking of selling it and going turbo but havent decided yet.

I paid $1318 for the pistons they retail for 1640.

The tool steel wrist pins were $185

I paid $1280 for the manley billet I-beam rods with 7/16 arp 2000 rod bolts.

I'm doing the build myself and have a machine shop doing the machine work.

Thanks. I'm not skilled enough to do the build myself so I will continue to search for a shop to do the work. Matherly was the one I have been told to use but he seems pricey....then again everyone is pricey with these motors.

I'm not so sure I'd trust that Chinese Eagle crank over a factory crank. Might want to rethink that one and be really sure.

the Kellogg cranks have been discontinued. the eagle crank will be just fine....

like over have the shit with get comes from china. its inspected here before its shipped out.

I feel good about this buy.

hell eagle has revised this hp estimate of this crank to 1500.

the Kellogg crank kinda is on borrowed time with 800-1000 rwhp. so I decided to upgrade.

the replacement Kellogg cranks were stronger and was a better design that would hold 1500hp. but again... its discontinued and can not be got. I called Kellogg directly today.

Stock stroke Kellogg crank discontinued by Kellogg? Did I read that correctly?

yup they sure did. apparently they are shying away from the aftermarket and only focusing on the OEM market. that crank has not been used for a long time in an OEM application so they no longer offer it.

sucks!

Kellogg made the OEM Cobra forged cranks and they can handle lots of power.

How large are your cams?
