After the Maximum's K-Member install and Flaming River's Steering shaft I have about 1 to 1-1/2 inch free play in the steering wheel that's UNACCEPTABLE. The shop says it's the result of tightening everything up, i.e., eliminating all the rubber bushings and the rag joint in the stock steering shaft.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If it takes a more precise Rack & Pinion steering sector with a 15:1 Ratio, I don't think anyone makes one for our cars. I need some help and or suggestions on this issue.
