So, I went to install some Corbeau CR1's today. Removing my old seats, I noticed that the back two bolts were pretty tight, so I put some pb blast in them and just went slow. Well....the head snapped off. WTF? Stepped back for a second and tried to figure out what had happened. I've pulled seats out before without an issue as they just screw into the floor pan............unless you have subframe connectors!! :bash::bash:
Anyway, fixed my mistake and got the rest of them out, but have to get the old bolt out so I can install a new one.
Question is this: The bolt is tight, but the rest were able to spin pretty easily once the bolts connecting them to the subframe were out. Would it work to gorilla glue the nut back on the bottom (not tighten just keep it on the end) and then just spin them through the bottom via the subframe connector nut? I have a new bolt and nut, so I can just toss the old one when done.
basically gorilla glue the nut on the bolt like this:
Any better ideas?
Oh, and here are the seats
