Has anyone tested out the Nitto NT05Rs?

I cant afford MTs or Hoosier right now.

Heres where I stand.
Ive heard the 555s suck, the BFGs are okay, and M&H are badass.

They will be used to drive to the track, run, and go home. Thats it.

17 x 9 wheel.

I would prefer 275/50 17 over 275/40 17

Any other ideas?
Thanks!

i ran 315's NITTO 555R's on my car, the tread last alot longer then others.. and i drove it to the track, my first time out in this car and still cut 1.7 60ft.. i didnt do a big burn out, i just went around the water box, dumped clutch.. and held it at 3500rpm, and cut those times.. id run them again for sure.

I dont like my 555rs for a track tire. They hook great on the street, but suck at the track. They are 275s.

NT05R's here... not a lot of them running around yet. Compared to my old BFG's they hook way harder at street pressure. I began to track test them but seized a bearing in my distributor when I got them to 20 PSI. The biggest difference at the dragstrip is that the NT05R's will continue to try to grip while they are spinning, where the BFG's would leave me sitting in one spot if they spun. My best 60' on the BFG's was 1.81 at 14 psi. I was in the high 1.8's at 20 lbs on the NT05r's, I'm sure they would have gotten me 1.70's pretty easy. These were 315/35-17's in both cases. I haven't tried the Mickey Thompson, M&H, or Hoosiers, so I can't really place them against any of those. The NT05R's work much better on the street, autox, and rain than the BFG's did as well.
