A stage V spec is quite aggressive, if this is a street car you might look at something like the 2+ or 3. Promotion powertrain has a good selection of clutches and can provide a good reccomendation for you too.

I got a centerforce DF. It had a great pedal feel and grabs well. I am not sure how it will handle 500+ RWHP but it will handle 400+. Make sure you go with an oem or timken T.O.B. or else you will be very sorry.

I didn't particularly care for the the Spec clutch I had in my 02 GT. Centerforce, is a good choice. A lot of people also run the '03/'04 Cobra clutch on some pretty high power setups without problems.

Spec 5 Clutch ?

Are you going for 1000rwhp ? :lol1:

I think a spec 2 or 3 would work best :burnout:

Isn't the stage 5 race only? What exactly are your plans for this car?

I know the Stage 5 is a grabbin SOB...my friends nitrous LS1 T/a snaped a custom drive shaft on the very first launch with the stage 5...the second launch (a week later) took out the 12 bolt lol

stage 1 - 410 ft lbs tq capacity
stage 2 - 520 ft lbs tq capacity
stage 3 - 680 ft lbs tq capacity
stage 4 - 680 ft lbs tq capacity
stage 5 - 1100 ft lbs tq capacity

Looks to me like a Spec 2+ or a Spec 3 is your best bet.

Yeah go for a Spec 2+ and their alum flywheel. My buddy had a stage 3 didn't like it as much for DD but he switched to the 2+ and loved it. He said the 2+ engages "slower" to make it streettable and the stage 3 was either engaged or not with no let out.
