I have currently an 02 mustang with an intercooled Tork Tech Supercharger on a 2v and im running into some issues with the PCV valve hook up because when i bought it he deleted out the EGR so i dont know how to route my PCV on the driver side and passenger side. Im not mechanically advanced so if you could help me in a detailed explanation that would be great.
Also, anybody with the Tork Tech that connected there Intercooler pump to there MAF sensor for power experience Pegging out when they were at the dyno? I know i have to rewire this to the power source Keyed ON/OFF but im wondering if the intercooler drawing power from the MAF sensor is causing the pegging out? I was recommended to get a DiabloSport MAFia but its quite expensive because i would have to retune it which isnt cheap. Please feel free to ask any questions for missing detail and i will try to answer to the best of my ability

Thanks for help

If you go on Tork Techs website they have the full instructions on how to install everything. I definitely would not wire the inter-cooler pump in to the power for the maf. Run the wire a foot more and tap into the junction near the firewall its pretty simple.

The prior owner of the car wired the intercooler pump to the MAF wiring harness? You have got to be kidding me. Have YOU yourself had this car on a dyno? I am only asking because if the tuner knew about it and still ran the car you need to find another tuner, PERIOD.

I would start digging through that insall with the instructions in hand to see what else this guy may have screwed up. I would not drive the car until you KNOW everything is right.

With some patients and time the members here will be able to help you get your car running correctly and safe.

Thanks guys! im gonna rewire it today, and i found out on the tork tech website for that. But Im still having issues on the PCV valves because on the tork tech website they have the EGR in the installation guide and i dont have the EGR which is the tork tech way of installing it. But alot of guys delete the EGR and just run the PCV valve to a catch oil can but i dont want to do that and want to know another way of routing it?

thanks again for the help

The PCV and EGR systems have nothing to do with eachother as far as routing go.

The line that comes off the drivers side valve cover (the vent line) should be connected to a nipple before the TB but after the MAF.

The line that comes off the passenger side valve cover should be routed to a nipple on the back of the inlet after the TB.

I doubt they are different on the TT kit but that is the way they are routed for my KB.

That's how I have mine routed as well, do it like this and you shouldn't have any issues.

I have a tork tech set up on my 02 GT and accidentally ran the hoses backwards. Passenger side before the TB and Drivers side to the back of the supercharger. When i ran the car it smoked really bad and when i pulled the intake apart and removed the supercharger from the intake there was probably 1/4 quart of oil in the bottom of the intake. Will running these hoses backwards really have this much of an impact or do i have bigger issues?

Yes it can cause issues such as that. You are running they system backwards so to speak. The passenger side valve cover has the PCV valve located in it where they drivers side just has a vent. What was happening here is the blower was sucking oil mist out of the PCV valve because the check valve inside was being held open.

I would clean all the oil up (use plenty of carb cleaner), hook everything back up the right way and run it. I would check the oil level after every drive, if it doesn't move then you are fine, if it drops something else is wrong. I think once you hook everything up correctly you will be fine.

I have mine ran the same way as well. Drivers side to the intake tube after the MAF and passenger side tee'd into the vacuum line coming out of the fender and into the back of the blower.

Thats how it was routed with the factory intake so I did the same. I havent noticed anything bad so far.

Anybody have pictures to see how everything is routed just to make sure im right on this because im going to get retuned in a couple weeks and wanna make sure everything is ready to go. Plus this will clear some confusion for some other guys as well.

Where is the best place to buy a breather for one of my valve covers? Autozone and all the parts stores seem to not have anything that fits.

thanks guys

Sounds like you're makin this to complicated. Take a hose from the passenger side valve cover and run it to the port on the backside of the plenum, ya know the big barb that sticks off the back of it.

For the drivers side take a hose from that valve cover over to the intake tube and connect it to one opening of the intake tube. It's really just running 2 lines.

Now if you're wanting to buy breathers for the valve covers then that changes things as you would essentially be eliminating the air/blow by from the pcv system from re entering the motor.

I highly suggest you spend under a hundred bux and run an oil catch can. My intercooler and related stuff under the blower had waaaay too much oil and crap on it to not justify
installing one on my build. Why would you want to suck oil into your blower? it's not that tough to find a location for the can. my.02

When I get home from work tonight, I will get some pics from my Tork Tech install. It will show you how I ran all the vaccuum lines and breather lines. It is not that complicated, just sounds complicated.

Just delete the PCV all together... Buy yourself 2 breathers and install them where the 2 PSV hoses connect to the valve covers. Simple and clean looking. If you absolutely must have the PCV system them do as stated above.

PCV Delete How To - Link

EGR Delete How To (Shows a diagram for vacuum lines)- Link

EDIT: Your inter-cooler pump should not be wired to your MAF.....

Here is the picture of the fuel rail lines:
0424131648.jpg

This boost line comes from the bottom port on the blower.

Here is the lines going to the back of the blower:
0424131649.jpg

The line going to the plenum elbow is the from the fuel tank vent.
There is a line from the bottom of the Tork Tech intake, that I "T'ed" into the red vaccum lines, for the AC stuff, that connects to the other small port in the upper part of the blower.
The other large port, on the back of the blower, is where I ran the pcv line.

I will be adding a JLT oil catch can in the next couple of weeks. This will go inbetween the pcv and the large port on the blower.

Let me know if this helps at all or you need addition help. This is how I was told to do it by Tork Tech, can't remember his name. He was my best friend for a couple of weeks when I was doing this install.

Thanks! Could you get some pics from a bit further back so I can see the all the lines in one pic. A pic of each side of the engine if possible!
