Need help hooking up LCD TV to laptop.

it was working fine two nights ago. and now my tv doesn't recognize the resolution. vista is only letting me select 800x600 for the res of the second monitor. and i can't select clone mode without having the tv plugged into the vga input. so whenever i plug the tv in, the laptop screen turns off. any suggestions?

vid card is nvidia 6150 gforce go.

Did you try to find a forum that is dedicated to tvs and computers? There are a number of good ones out there. Some I have bookmarked. You'll get an answer a lot faster.

I know that my monitor on my desktop would go into a very low resolution [with no option of changing it] after I would reformat. Updating the drivers always did the charm.
