USAA has gone to hell. Every time I need something they are a pain in the @$$ to deal with now. I dropped my insurance with them probably 10 years ago.

Here in El Paso where we have a huge military base in Fort Bliss and no USAA on site branches.

I think they got rid of their branches a long time ago. We used to have two around here and I remember seeing the notice when they closed saying to do everything online.

I have my car insurance and one credit through USAA. Though the card collects dust mostly. I haven't had any issues and they've been good to me when I've had accidents.

For checking, I use a local bank. For savings and CDs, I use Synchrony. Can't beat their CD/Savings rates and their customer service is exceptional.

In the same area, I have used RBFCU for a long time. However, think I may change over to Security State since there's no RBFCU in Blanco.

I have a local CU and Chase as my traditional brick and mortar bank

No issues with either so far. Need to open a HYSA soon though
