We're moving to Florida end of the month and will be stopping in Nashville for a few days. Any recommendations on a decent Hotel close to the bar scene?
The brand new Omni is really nice. If you are looking for something more unique, the Union Station hotel is pretty amazing. Both are within walking distance to the bars (nobody calls them clubs down here and you shouldn't expect a nightclub atmosphere).
There are a lot of other, less expensive options just off Broadway as well.
There are no clubs here. The Omni is boss. The Renaissance is nice as well. The Gaylord is awesome but it's too pretty far from the downtown area. Hit up Burger Republic and the Southern while you're here!
We went awhile back just to hang out down town and stayed at the Indigo, which is an old converted bank. Nice place and close to government buildings and a block off printers ally and walking distance to 2nd ave.
Broadway is the main drag yes. That's the tourist spot for those of us who want to swoop in on unsuspecting out-of-town ladies. Midtown is the local spot but doesn't really offer that much for people who are just visiting. There are quite a few hotels in the downtown area but they will all be bringing a premium especially if there is an event in town, which happens pretty much every weekend in Music City.
Tootsies and Legends Corner are 2 recommendations for bars. The Patterson House is another place, get there at 5 when it opens as it gets busy quickly; the drinks are top notch. Cabanas, Loveless Cafe and a hot chicken is a must to eat.
