Gimme I’m just bustin balls man.

All I was saying it you had 1 car and 2 motors , say a small block that made 600 hp and 400 tq and a big block that made 600 hp and 500tq, and both rev to 6k the big block will get to point B faster if you did not change gear ratios to compensate for the the small block making less usable power(in simplified terms without going into rpm/tq/gears and all that). That’s all I’m saying.

Im with ya... there is more involved than any single metric to the entire equation. Definitely agree.

Torque certainly has it's place and a good understanding of it makes for a great/effective combo.

My GT500 made me a believer in TQ from a "fun to drive" perspective. That car was an absolute blast. It just wasnt any faster down the strip than my centri 2014 Mustang GT even though it sure as hell felt faster. They both trapped right around 129-130 but the GT500 had over 100 more lb/ft torque!
