Hey guys I am considering trading my 2011 GT500 for the 2013/2014 GT500 reason being is I think it will compare to an 03/04 as far as holding its value and being sought after for years to come. I think Ford threw everything they could into the 13/14 and did not hold anything back similar to the 03/04 again. I also believe the market is going to stop right at 50k for a low mile clean example. Any other opinions?

I have to say I agree, but I might be a little bias because I have both with low miles hanging out in the garage. Regardless, I think you'll love the 13/14...

I also agree--somewhat; and I'm also biases as I have both as well. But I suspect the prices of the '13/'14s will fall further before stalling. Time will tell. I like to play with my toys--I say buy one and enjoy it for the sake of having fun as life is short! If it retains good resale value--great. If not, you had fun with your toy.

I agree with that, my 13 is also the same color as yours, nice choice...and I do need to drive mine more.

So your plan is to trade your 11 in on a low mileage 13/14.......... & not drive it so it holds it's value ?

I've always thought this way about the 13/14. Just like the 03-04 and 93 Cobra. Every 10 years seems to be the sweet spot for Cobra models to go after. :)

No. I intend to buy one with under 10k miles (as few as possible) Drive it 10k a year and have a moderate mile 13/14 Heck even well cared for 03/04 with under 100k still goes for nearly 20. Just crazy as I bought my new comp orange 04 in 04 for 29500.

Agreed. 03/04 Cobras are the best of the SN95 Chassis and 13/14 GT500s are the best of the S197.

I honestly like driving my 04 more than my 14. The 04 is refined just enough to give it a modern muscle car feel while the Shelby feels more like a fast new car and less of a muscle car. That's part of why the Cobras are so popular.

The only Terminators bringing strong money are low mile pristine examples or those that are stock. Other than that you can get some great deals on an 03/04. On SVTP everyone is priced very high from what I see

The 13/14s have taken an almost 20k hit from new as you can buy one for upper $40k low $50k range. That's huge

Everything depreciates. Buy the 13/14 cause you love it

I was talking to my brother about this last night. I want a comp orange cobra next to my DIB GT500, I guess I do have his red fire cobra next to my Shelby.

My favorite two colors. Especially like in your sig with red stripes on DIB.
