On Tuesday I just picked up this 1975 Ford F100 4x4. It has original paint, a rancho lift with a 3" body lift, 37" toyo open country mud terrain tires, cammed 351 Cleveland, C4 Auto, a Dana 20 transfer case, and a Detroit locker in the rear. Its not perfect but its going to be a little project/weekend fun car. When I bought it I drove it home about 2 hours from san diego and it worked perfectly fine other than the dead battery that I changed right when I got home. The next day I was trying to test the 4x4 (stupid me didn't check that before I bought it). The gear lever was seized up so I fixed that. The shift linkage was really loose. Now the trans will not shift into 3rd gear. If I put it in 2h it shoots out into neutral and in 4h it won't shift. Checked the fluid and it was bad so I put new fluid in the transfer case as well as greased all the zerk fittings. Tried adjusting the vacuum module and that didn't help either. Thats about all I have done except opening the seized tail gate also..... Anyways Ill keep an update with the progress on this truck. Without further ado here are a couple pics I snapped so far. I will take some more tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Dirty as soon as I got home

Sweet ride man! I love the the 70's Ford trucks. I've wanted one so bad, but can't find a good deal. I have been trying to buy a '70's 4x4 for several weeks, but on eBay I kept getting outbid. I must have bid on 4 or 5 different no reserve trucks (Chevys and Fords). I really like the Fords, but I am not a brand loyalist type. Anyway I was recently in vacation out west visiting family (I live in Louisiana), and close to where my folks live there was a cool '79 GMC K1500 for sale. I really didn't want a long bed, but the deal was too sweet to pass up. Picked up the below truck for $4100. It runs and drives great. I still think your F-100 is a cooler ride though! Love these old 4x4's!

I had a '76 GMC the exact color, except 2wd and short bed. Love those trucks.

Thanks man! Honestly I was never too much into trucks but I fell in love with the 70's F100's and I thought it would be a cool next project. I wanted something different than a car lol.
