Before any hate comments, I went through 4 built 351 Cleveland's over the years and I just wanted something reliable with fuel injection.
I would've loved a FGT motor but that's way out of my price range, and I couldn't pass up on a deal for a low mileage LQ9 and so the swap began, probably the easiest LS swap in a non LS car actually lol.
If anyone is going to FL2K14 I'll be there with it so check it out!
Specs-
'06 LQ9 6.0 completely stock bottom end
Texas Speed Tsunami Cam
PRC dual valve springs
PRC titanium retainers
PRC hardened pushrods
Professional Products Polished LS6 style typhoon intake
Stock 317 cathedral port heads
Corvette water pump and alternator
Full custom exhaust
Stock CTS-V injectors from a '09 V
Custom made wiring harness
90mm DBW TB
90mm MAF
STOCK ZF Transaxle
LS7 style clutch
1000hp Axles
Car was tuned by Jeremy Formato of fasterproms in Tampa, FL and made mid 400's at the wheels.
Car weighs just under 3,000lbs with me in it. I'm hoping for a mid 11 sec pass, this is by no means a drag car, just a nicely built cruiser that can stretch it's legs every now and then.
