I got lucky with my MT82. It wasn’t until I was knocking on 700 RWHP that it turned into a cement truck roar.

Hated the MT82 (still hate it on my Boss 302). It felt slow so I installed the Ford Racing Tune because I wanted to keep the warranty. The tune woke the car up, but it pinged like crazy. Car just had poor fit and finish. The Boss seems better.

The stock clutch makes a great fusible link.
One of these days, I'll be able to afford one of those fancy clutches so I can destroy what's left of the transmission.
I'm worried if I upgrade the transmission, I won't be able to blame my lack of shifting skill on gear lockout anymore.
The supercharger issues are well known on the Hellcats. I think it was mostly the first 2 or 3 year model Hellcats. A lot of people have gotten them replaced if you go over to the Hellcat forum. A lot of people don't even know about it. lolFor sure, I have been digging up the service records lately and organizing info. I can live with the prior issues; they were concerns that were leading me to selling/trading before the powertrain warranty was up.
I'm dumbfounded on the fuel issues. I can hear a pump running so would make me thing its not a fuse. When I had my TVS 5.0, the BAP was popping fuses under load but cannot recall if the pump ran or not. Something is very amiss in my HC to keep getting this.
it’s like a tuning fork once you do that...I have UCA, LCA, panhard and holyshit! The panhard with spherical rod ends was too much, went back to the stock one...
On my 3V with a T56 Magnum, JPC had to reinstall my 4.10s twice to get the noise where I could barely hear it over my longtubes and axleback. After the third attempt, I was happy with it . . . stock suspension at the time.
Then, I put on coilovers, BMR UCA, LCAs, relocation brackets, panhard, sway, etc . . . and the whine is WAY WAY louder than it ever was when I made JPC redo it. Even my 14 year old daughter, who notices nothing in this world that is not emanating from her iPhone, asked me what the noise was, LOL
There is a reason ford filled the stock panhard bar with sand... FWIW I had the BMR panhard, Whiteline LCA, Whiteline UCA...
I planned on going back to 3.55 when I increase the engine power. I still have the original 3.55 ring and pinion that came from Ford, and your post makes me wonder if I would be better off reusing it rather than buying new. It was very quiet .... at least on stock suspension.UMI parts here and it was atrocious on anything except for the original ring and pinion(3.55) that came in the car. Even bought a new set of 3.55's off the parts counter(brown box not the motorcraft) and it still whined its ass off. I got used to it after a year or two but that was a huge let down with the S197 chassis and the NVH nightmare those engineers had to deal with.

Any gear (FRPP or anything 8.8) should be forged at the Sterling Heights factory. Next set of gears I run, Im likely to try the US Gear lightning series. No clue why but the original gear set was the only set i ever had that never made any noise. Even a new set of brown box Ford OE line pulls in a 3.55 ratio whined. So maybe the gear set was perfectly set at the factory? No clue.
I tried setting up my 3.73's with 4-5 pinion shims to see if adding more or less preload would change the whine and it did nothing to change. They were a set of Ford Racing gears which i believe were cast by Motive?
On my 89 GT i never had a single issue with just swapping over the pinion shim, throw a new pinion bearing on it and setting lash. There was never any whine. I really believe it was the design of the housing changed more than just the stupid NVH prone 3rd link. The older quadra-bind rears never had the NVH issues of the later 3 link cars.
~27,500 Miles - P062a code (fuel system). Dealer replaced sending unit.
~28,200 Miles - P062a, this time, bad fuel rail. Again, replaced.
~28,800 Miles - P062a, this time, fuel pump not holding pressure. Replaced
~28,850 Miles - Car went limp on highway, no power to accelerate. Stalled on side of road. Dealer reports fuel pump failure.
~28,900 Miles - Go to start car in garage, hear a pop when key to run position. Car cranks but will not start. Same symptoms of the last fuel pump failure.
The rearend is currently growling again, transmission is having downshift issues from 2-1 upon coming to a stop; noticeable delay. The interior has more rattles than my old foxbody. A key note, I am 100% stock. No performance mods at all.
I have thought low of Dodge all the way back to an 2008 Ram and swore I would never touch another. I really wish I had at this point. I think all I can do is fight the dealer to fix this long enough to trade in somewhere at a loss. I have lost all confidence this thing can even get me down the street.
Agree. @John Ryder is this all at the same dealer? How da hell does a fuel rail go bad? SMH.
Then they realize it's the pump. LOLOLOLOL
OP, I think more than half your problem is the monkeys at the stealership.

Part of the whine issue is the S197 8.8" housing itself. 3 link makes it much more articulating that 4 link. Inherently though, that means that 1 avenue for NHV to travel into the cabin. There is probably also a resonance issue with the size of the gears and the ratio of drive to driven teeth. Larger 9" like Bimini is running may be the difference between terrible NVH and noise free operation. US Gear makes a damn good part, so if the Lightning finish makes it so there's no real break in Im game to try it and see how it goes.I just read that link. Other than a quick reference to reducing vibration and noise, I don't see any claim that it tackles the probability of whine, i.e. that the surface mitigates the whine risk.

I honestly do not know either but think the sensor and rail are one part so have to be replaced as one. I have seen the same code on HC forums, and almost all ended up with a pump issue eventually.
Maybe it's sold as one unit but I find that hard to believe...especially for something as simple as a fuel pressure sensor.
I still say where you are taking this car is part of your issues. That pump is a Walbro pump IIRC and it's the same pump a lot of us aftermarket modding guys use. I find it hard to believe that you now have had 3 of those fail. I find it really really hard to believe that 2 replacements have failed.
