Ran at Heaven's Landing in Clayton, GA at WannaGoFast. Had a blast and beat my goal of 140mph.

I ran a best of 144.4 mph backed up by 143.5 mph and 142.6 mph runs.

Struggled to get a good launch with old and near bald 315 Toyo R888's but the car pulled hard once it got traction.

Was running right with or slightly faster than several new ZL1 Camaros, a 13 GT500 and a stock Hellcat Challenger. Not bad for a heavy old Vert!

I'm running a 2.3L Whipple with a 3.25 pulley making 15lbs of boost. Upgraded intercooler with stock reservoir. Stock intake tube with Steeda cold air, 2600 MAF, 60# injectors, Ford GT fuel pumps and BAP, stock manifolds and H-pipe with Magnaflow catback. Relatively minor mods, almost a sleeper with the exhaust. Has a nice safe tune that made 560rwhp and 500rwtq on the dyno.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else was thinking about doing it. Do it!!! Car drew a lot of attention and represented itself well.

With those mods you did really well. You made the Terminator crowd proud! How fast was the stock Hellcat Challenger?

What gear were you in when going that fast? End of 4th?

Yes, end of 4th. Actually had to lift slightly to stay below redline. The car will go faster with a slight gearing change. Thinking about going to a 305/35/18 on the next set of tires to accomplish some of that (~0.5" taller). Should help a little on the launch too, especially if I go with a drag radial like the Nitro NT555r.

did you happen to log the runs? do you know what you iat2s were at the end of those runs?

Sorry, I did not. I am a little old school (even though I am only 33) and come from the world of 60's, 70' and 80's cars. I have an SCT Tuner, but need to get the cable that goes to the laptop and download the software. Will definitely do that next time though.

I can tell you that it was in the 60's that morning, maybe low 70's by the time the fog cleared and we could go racing at about 10:30am. At that point, the car had been sitting with the hood open for 3 hours after a 2 hour drive to the track. Supercharger was cool to the touch and I ran the 144 mph on my first pass that morning. All other passes were slower and the supercharger was hot to the touch, even though I let the car cool off for an hour or more between runs. The problem was the launch as much as heat soak though. The track got greasy as the sun came out and I was spinning a lot. Shoot, the 143mph run was a butt puckering controlled spin/slide all the way through 1st and 2nd in which I got over on the edge of the runway, but stayed in it and managed to gather it up. Thought for sure I was going to see 13X mph on that run and a brown stain in my seat, but it ended up being my second fastest run!

Sounds fun! I have been to 145mph in my stock Ecoboost! Not sure how quick I get there though! Definitely not within a 1/2 mile! Probably 3/4 mile!
