Are you putting the front bumper on it? I built one of these as a model recently and just can't take a 67/8 without the bumper. Sad but true. Here's my project. Lot of work done outside what is in the box

This is a debate for the ages! Myself, I'm partial to the 67/68 without the bumper!

That is incredible work on a model lol, and a neat color. I fought long and hard over color for this car, and came extremely close to painting it butternut Yellow.

I however, am the exact opposite. I cannot stand 67/68 Camaros WITH a front bumper. And I know the hood "should" be painted too, but watching this car race as a kid, it always had a satin black cowl hood on it, so I'm going to stick with that, as a sentimental thing, even though it doesn't look the greatest.

I get that. I think it's coming along great and since you have shared the story of why the hood is black it makes sense. I could so crush out a model of that car! Lol

Thanks guys!!

468 is all together. Won't be long now until things start falling into place! Just some basic junk. 4 bolt block, stock rod and piston, .060 over JE pistons11.0:1, JEG's 320cc aluminum heads, comp cams hydraulic camshaft around .640 lift, Edelbrock Victor JR intake, Holley 750cfm dominator, and a plate pilled for 100.

Very cool man, post a build thread!

Excellent! How much power should you be making on this combo? Mid 500's?

I'd imagine somewhere in that neighborhood!

Took the night off work last night and measured up for motor plates, cut and drilled them, then spent a while giving them a mirror polish. Then I got the motor in today. Waiting on converter and then the trans can go in. Then time for wiring and thunder in the pipes!

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. DSLR is dead at the moment.

Made a little more progress this weekend. Got the fuel system and cooling system all buttoned up, got new glass in it Saturday, and fired it up for and let it run on its own for the first time today. I do have a small little issue, hoping it's not serious, but glad to see it coming together.
