Well I went out to a local lake and set up my tripod and waited for the show to begin. I wish I would have taken my telephoto lens with me because the fireworks were a little further away than I thought.

All shots taken with a Nikon D40 with the following settings.
F8, ISO 200, Exposure between 2 and 30 seconds, raw format processed in Lightroom.

This is just a teaser as I will post up more tomorrow as I process them.

Enjoy:banana:

This particular shot I zoomed in or out during the exposure. Im not sure which cause I did both on several different shots but I think it gave the shot a neat little effect.

I didn't know anybody else on this site lived in abilene.......the fireworks were at Nelson park right by the zoo. I took the shots at Lytle lake.

Those are badass! is the wind catching those...or is that your doing?

Well which one are you referring to? If your talking about number eight in the second set then that is my doing. I just zoomed the lens during the exposure to get that tentacle effect.

Thank you for all the compliments.
