They used to do stock, modified, and extreme.
It got to be too much of a whine-bag with people saying one thing is stock and one thing is not. It also used to be peer judged, which they dropped as well.

Last year I was one of the judges and I spent alot of time at each car.

Ed - It was nice to meet you. Thanks for saving spots for the "RI guys". I wish everyone judged as you stated above. My advice for next year, is please break up the +05 class into +05-10 and +11.

I'm still in shock and most of my friends from this form are, that a 2005 V6 Mustang beat my car. I had a good time with my fiends, but don't plan on attending nest year unless the classes are broken up more. This is supposed to be Mustang Mania, so I don't know why you let non-mustangs enter.

Just my 2 cents :) Thanks for a good day

Your car was awesome.

I kept sayin if I had a GT it would be exactly like that.

I too, figured you would have taken 1st place in that class. Was the most put together, clean, and "sleeper-esque" car there.

RI_2011_GT - I can not believe that car beat you. Your car was my favorite one there, and I believe I told you myself. Cleanest/best put together '11 I've seen yet

It was a great show and Ed and the Club did a great job! It was for a good cause and very nice of Budweiser to open up the place for show.

I'm not made or Ed at all I think he is a great guy. I just saw the issue with the class being bundled together too generally. I'm sure my result would have been different if I saw the judge and was able to go around the car with them. Maybe next year the Judges wear bright Red shirts with judge on them? I;m sure we could all Monday morning quarter back this to death...

Ed - Great job and always good to meet a fellow SVTer! We couldn't enjoy our car's at shows without people like you running them :)

With a very patient woman
There were 6 judges, everyone did it their way and had their own criteria for why they picked stuff.
I had three pages of notebook paper with my own notes on each car. That way when I was on the other side of the yard at another car I could compare two. I also had a digital camera with me and photographed the few cars I considered for awards so I would be able to compare mods and engine bays etc

Definatley a great time yesterday guys. Good turn out! Fun hanging with friends and the weather and setting was perfect. On the other note though, as Greg was saying (RI_2011_GT) I think the classes should have been broken up a little differently. I think 100% Greg should have won his class or at least trophied! For that car to walk away with nothing is a bit unsettling. I also dont understand how my almost completely stock 2004 Cobra is supposed to stand a chance again other terminators with 10-20k$ invested in them. I dont have that much money in it and I planned it that way on purpose. Also was the only Mystichrome at the whole show and didnt even get 3rd place in paint category  If that paint cant get anything I should have just bought black :??: (thats the color that won 1st)

Dont want to be a hater because the general atmosphere of the show was amazing and the people had it set up perfect but that is just my opinion. I would attend it again regardless of how its judged but itd be nice to see a little change.

PS- The "rev happy" guy with the touch up paint Boss was quite a site hahaha.
Also Brian I still dont know how you ever get that Saleen into reverse, I felt like quite a rookie in that thing :bash:

guys, there is no such thing as a perfect car show. It takes a lot of effort, time and $$ to pull off a show like this. NHMC has been at this for 20 + years trying to perfect the process, and I believe that they have it pretty damn close.

At the end of the day, it's a competition and you can't please everyone. This isn't little league baseball where everyone gets a trophy.......it' the nature of the car show scene.

Hat's off to the crew and thanks for everyone who came out to support the show. Next year it will be bigger!
